Check out the latest specs, features, official price, and availability of MSI Katana B13 (2023) gaming laptop in Nepal. Configurable with up to RTX 4070 and 13th Gen Intel Core i7, it also features a 144Hz IPS display, 32GB DDR5 RAM, and dual-fan cooling.
The MSI Katana is an affordable entry point into MSI's gaming laptop lineup, but it's no slouch in terms of performance. Updated yearly with the latest gaming hardware from Intel and NVIDIA, it remains a popular choice in markets like Nepal. The latest iteration, the MSI Katana B13 (2023), was announced at CES and is now available for pre-order in Nepal.
One of the significant upgrades in the 2023 model is the inclusion of the MUX Switch, allowing users to connect the NVIDIA GPU directly to the display, bypassing the integrated graphics of the CPU. This feature can be accessed through the MSI Center, allowing users to switch between hybrid mode and discrete graphics mode for optimal performance.
As for graphics, users have a choice between the latest RTX 4050, RTX 4060, and RTX 4060, all capable of running at max 105W with NVIDIA's Dynamic Boost. Additionally, MSI plans to offer the 17" Katana with older SKUs such as RTX 3050 (B13UDXK) and RTX 2050 (B13UCXK). With improved performance and cooling, the MSI Katana B13 is a great option for gamers looking for an affordable yet powerful gaming laptop.
The latest version of the MSI Katana gaming laptop lineup features the new 10-core “Raptor Lake” Core i7-13620H processor that can turbo boost up to 4.9 GHz. To cool this powerful gaming machine, MSI has incorporated Cooler Boost 5 technology, which uses a dual-fan and 6 heat pipes system shared between the CPU and GPU. The MSI Katana B13 is available in 15” and 17” models, both with FHD IPS screens and a 144Hz refresh rate. The design remains similar to the previous models, with minor changes like added lines on the lid and a 4-zone gaming backlight for the keyboard. The laptop has a 3-cell 53.5 Whr Lii-Polymer battery, and the GPU configuration determines whether it comes with a 180W or 200W adapter. It has four USB ports, an HDMI, and an ethernet, along with the usual DC-in and combined audio jack. Additionally, the laptop has no fingerprint scanner but features a firmware-based Trusted Platform Module for security.
